Intern with the Global Arctic Programme (information management)

At WWF’s Global Arctic Programme (GAP), we are working for a well-managed, biodiverse and resilient Arctic, supporting healthy viable populations of wild species and benefiting the well-being of people in the Arctic and beyond.
We are looking for an intern for the spring of 2025 to help prepare and organize larger meetings and conferences, and help as we restructure our information management system. We are looking for somebody curious, well-organized, diligent, and flexible. During the internship, you will have the opportunity to be a part of, and learn about working with tasks ranging from background research and analysis, to proposing solutions, and implementing them.
The goal of the internship is to provide the intern with the opportunity to:
- Experience the daily work within the programme
- Gain an understanding of the programme’s information management practices
- Increase the intern’s professional experience in information management and conference planning
To achieve this goal, the intern shall:
- Actively participate in the programme’s daily work and provide support on various administrative tasks
- Work independently, as well as in collaboration with the programme’s team
- Help improve the information management system of the programme - analyzing the current folder structure, developing a new efficient structure, reorganizing existing files and folders, documenting the new structure, and developing guidelines for staff
- Help organize a youth policy event including pre-filtering applicants, helping set-up pre-workshops, help writing the information booklet, and helping with logistics before and during the event.

- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written skills
- Have knowledge of file management systems (Google Drive and Microsoft Teams) and information management
- Have an ability to interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.

Timescale
The internship will start in January/early 2025 and will last between 3 and 6 months. The internship is 38 hours per week.
Location
The WWF Global Arctic Programme is a regional team, with core team staff based in Stockholm, Sweden, and Oslo, Norway. Most work is done remotely, with the option to spend the internship at the office in Stockholm, and join a team retreat during the internship period. You will be part of a team with skilled employees in a stimulating, international environment.
Requirements for internship
To apply for an internship with WWF, you need to during the internship period be admitted to an internship course via an education establishment such as a university, college or vocational higher education college or be entitled to an internship via the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen).
We do not offer any salary or compensation during the internship.
