Information Management intern for Baltic Sea Programme

At WWF’s Baltic Sea Programme, we work to restore the health of the Baltic Sea, advocating for sustainable fisheries, reducing nutrient pollution, and protecting marine biodiversity.
We are looking for an intern for the autumn of 2025 to assist in helping us restructure our information management systems, supporting in creating a staff handbook, setting up routines for efficient workflows, and improving collaboration and knowledge-sharing systems. The ideal candidate is structured, detail-oriented, and eager to research and propose solutions for streamlining internal processes.
As an intern you will be a part of a dynamic, supportive, and international work environment and have the opportunity to develop practical skills in information management and process optimization.
The goal of the internship is to provide the intern with the opportunity to:
- Gain insight into the daily work of an international conservation programme in a leading environmental NGO
- Develop skills in information management and organisational development
- Contribute to enhancing knowledge-sharing and collaboration across the programme and a chance to make a real impact by shaping internal workflows
To achieve this goal, the intern will:
- Help research and evaluate different digital tools for collaboration and document sharing
- Actively participate in the programme’s daily work
- Support the migration of documents to a new system, ensuring an efficient structure
- Propose and assist in implementing solutions for knowledge-sharing and teamwork improvements
Desirable qualifications
- Relevant education in information management, business administration, organisational development, or a related field
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Ability to synthesize and present findings in a clear and actionable manner
- Experience or interest in change management and process improvement
- A problem-solving mindset and ability to take initiative
- Knowledge of file management systems (e.g. Google Drive, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint)
- Excellent communication skills, including writing skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with team members
- Interest in environmental issues and WWF’s mission is a plus
- Excellent oral and written proficiency in English; Swedish is not required but considered a merit.
Time and arrangement
The internship is full time, 38 hours per week, and not suitable to combine with other full-time studies/work.
The internship period is autumn semester 2025, the exact weeks are flexible and can be adjusted to fit in with the structure of different courses. Being able to stay longer is a plus but the internship should not be shorter than 3 months.
The internship can be remote for up to fifty percent of the time.
Requirements for internship
To apply for an internship with WWF Sweden, you need to fulfil one of the criteria listed below, throughout the entire internship period. You are responsible for researching and ensuring that you meet one of the criteria.
- You are admitted to or have applied to an internship/work placement course (as part of a programme or independent course) via a university or higher education institution.
- You are eligible to apply for arbetspraktik via the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen).
- You are eligible to apply for Erasmus+ funding.
We do not make any exceptions from the requirements.
We do not offer any salary or compensation during the internship.
